The moment I received the call from Microsoft about me being invited for the AppFest I was elated but this was soon curbed when i came to know that the AppFest is right next day morning 10 in the Silicon Valley of India 'Bangalore', as i received the call at 7 in the evening it was impossible for me to make up to the destination on time. But my excitement was soon back when my Dad offered me the permission to go via Flight. Thanks to Microsoft & of-course to my Dad for my first flight ever in the lifetime.( The AppFest was held on 21st September, 2012)

I reached the destination on-time thanks to the morning flight to Bengaluru by KingFisher Airlines.

Developers had the option of submitting Apps in over 20 categories, ranging from food, finance productivity, books, social, photo, music and video and shopping.

Itinerary of the event :
The AppFest was well organised :

Firstly, Registration were done at the entrance & every attendee were given some goodies.

Technical desks were setup for people who didn't had windows 8 OS installed in their Laptops.

Breakfast were served to all as developers from all across India gathered there along with some foreigner enthusiast.

Finally the Developer Hall was opened up for the developers to enter & grab their seats. Their were 4 massive halls with high speed Wii-fi hotspot.

The keynotes were delivered by the Chairman of Microsoft India Mr. Bhaskar Pramanik.

Jon DeVaan, Corporate Vice President Windows Development at Microsoft hit the gong to mark the start of the 18 hour non-stop Windows AppFest.

The food served were delicious including veg/Non-vegetarian diseases and the service seemed opened throughout the event with some great deserts being served
8 . Amidst this technical supports were provided to the attendee by the experts who already have developed several of Windows 8 Applications.
- There were x-box installed for the attendees to play when they get bored & many such great fun stuffs.
10.For Entertainment, DJ Rink was in the house throughout the event, Rock band were called up, Yoga Session were kept in the morning, Magicians were present & two great hosts Gaurav Kapoor & Roshan Abbas.
Guiness World Record Certificate !
And for this great event where Guiness World Record was being made for the Most number of participants in the software development marathon & every attendee was provided with a certificate eventually.
